Choosing an SEO agency in Singapore is harder than it looks. The market is crowded – OOm, First Page Digital, MediaOne, iTechStudio and dozens of others all claim to deliver rankings, traffic and revenue. The claims are similar. The results vary considerably. If you are trying to decide between a few shortlisted agencies, the questions that matter most are rarely asked upfront: Do they publish their prices? Is the work done in-house? What do you actually get each month, and how will you know if it is working?

Pricing transparency: who publishes what they charge

OOm and First Page Digital, two of the larger agencies in Singapore, do not publish pricing on their websites. You have to submit a contact form or sit through a discovery call before you learn what a retainer costs. That is a structural choice – it gives their sales team flexibility to quote based on perceived budget and urgency rather than a fixed rate card.

iTechStudio publishes its prices. Our SEO plan rates, GEO package pricing (S$600–S$2,000 per month), ad management fees (from S$400 per month), and web project minimums are all on the relevant service pages. You can benchmark us against the market before you pick up the phone. We think you should be able to do that – the alternative creates an information asymmetry that only benefits the agency.

Team structure and who actually does the work

Larger agencies typically run accounts through a tiered model: a business development person closes the deal, an account manager handles communication, and a junior executive does the day-to-day work. Senior staff are rarely accessible outside quarterly reviews. This is not a criticism – it is how agencies scale – but it means your account is managed by someone who may be running 20 others simultaneously.

iTechStudio is smaller by design. We do not try to compete on headcount. What we offer instead is direct access to an experienced lead on your account, work done by the same person who communicates with you, and accountability that does not disappear behind an org chart. If something is not working, you hear it directly, not filtered through a client-facing layer.

Service scope: what a retainer actually covers

SEO retainers differ significantly in scope even when the monthly fee is similar. At agencies like OOm and First Page Digital, the deliverables vary by tier and are often disclosed only after a proposal is issued. Standard retainers at larger agencies tend to include keyword tracking, reporting and some degree of on-page work, with link building and content production as add-ons or premium-tier items.

Our SEO plans are structured in three tiers – Essentials, Accelerator and Premium – with the scope of each described on the pricing page before you commit. Essentials covers on-page and off-page foundation work. Accelerator adds in-house blog content production. Premium includes a dedicated strategy layer and deeper competitive analysis. We also offer GEO as a separate or combined service – Generative Engine Optimisation is our specialist area, and we were one of the first agencies in Singapore to build a dedicated measurement and optimisation framework for AI search visibility.

Contract terms and commitment

Contract flexibility varies across agencies. Some require 6- or 12-month minimums before they will work with you, citing the time required to see SEO results. Others are month-to-month from the start. There is a legitimate case for minimum terms – SEO does not produce meaningful results in 60 days, and short-term clients create a lot of churn – but the framing of that conversation matters.

We recommend a minimum 6-month engagement to see compounding results, but we structure our agreements so you understand what you are paying for at each stage. We do not use long contracts as a substitute for performance. If the strategy is not working, the honest response is to change the strategy, not extend the lock-in.

PSG grant eligibility

The Productivity Solutions Grant is available to eligible Singapore SMEs and can offset a portion of digital marketing costs. Not all agencies are PSG-eligible. iTechStudio is PSG grant-eligible, which means qualifying businesses can apply to reduce the net cost of an engagement. This is worth checking before you commit to any agency – the grant does not change the quality of work, but it changes the effective cost meaningfully for SMEs who qualify.

Which agency is right for you

OOm and First Page Digital are larger operations with more infrastructure, more staff, and more brand recognition in Singapore. If you want the credibility of a household-name agency and are comfortable paying a premium for that positioning, they are reasonable choices. If you want published pricing, direct access to experienced execution, a specialist in AI search visibility alongside traditional SEO, and PSG grant eligibility – iTechStudio is worth a conversation. The first step is looking at what each agency actually charges and what that gets you. We are the one making that easy.
